Hi there! My name is Ruth Ashlie, I’m an artist based in the picturesque town of Carbondale, Colorado where my husband and I raised our kids. While I primarily work with acrylics, I enjoy experimenting with a variety of mediums. My art is rooted in capturing the feeling of happiness and serenity in life’s little moments—the moments that make us still and fill us with joy. Each piece is created with heartfelt intention, aiming to evoke a deep sense of nostalgia and joy, sparking memories that come alive with color and feeling. 

Some of my most cherished childhood memories are from visiting my grandparents’ ranch, riding horses and running free through the fields. Years later, raising our children while they were small on that same land was a magical full-circle experience. I have always felt a deep connection to nature and the beauty that surrounds us.  

The small, quite meaningful moments that speak to our hearts have always spoken the loudest to me. That’s what I strive to reflect in my work: each piece, a celebration of nature’s beauty and the enduring spirit of those fleeting, heartfelt moments.
